Introduction
Welcome NGTCC Participants!
I'm so excited to work with all of you. Whether you're just curious about the process or are prepared to dive right in, I hope you feel free to ask me any questions and have fun trying out your new knowledge!
What follows is a step-by-step guide for making a high-quality audio narration. You DON'T have to use this guide to participate in this workshop. you can use any software package you want to make your narration clip. Just save your file in either mp3 (preferred) or .wav format. You can attach an mp3 file right to an email to send it to me (so we can share our narrations and learn from each other). If you have a .wav file, email me and I'll set up a dropbox for you to upload to.
The following information was developed as part of an upcoming ebook release titled, How to Self-Publish Your AudioBook. Look for it soon in all major ebook retail outlets.
This workshop, How to Narrate Your Romance Novel, is geared toward the absolute beginner. I will walk you through every step of purchasing the three pieces of inexpensive equipment you’ll need to get started (or using what you have), setting up your home recording studio (much easier than it sounds!), downloading free recording software, and narrating, editing, producing and getting your audiobook or trailer ready to publish!
This book is broken up into seven parts to make navigating through it easy:
