Submission Guidelines
AudioMinx is open to unpublished, published or self-published short story/short novella-length submissions (8,000 - 40,000 words) and short story/short novella-length series (two or more related stories from 8,000 to 40,000 words each) in many erotic romance genres, from contemporary to historical, chick lit to paranormal, suspense to science fiction.
If your manuscript is unpublished, we will consider it for simultaneous e-book and audio book publication.
If your manuscript is already published or self-published, we will be happy to consider it for audio book publishing, but you must retain audio rights to submit.
Our guidelines mirror most other romance publishers. Erotica is fine, pornography is not. We reserve the right to draw the line where we will. We will not accept stories that include rape, bestiality, sex with anyone under 18, incest, necrophilia, racism, sexism, intolerance of others’ religion or sexual preference.
Please submit all manuscripts to support@audiolark.com. Include in your email your name, pen name, manuscript length, a blurb, genre and steaminess level.
Manuscripts may be submitted as a pdf if published (preferred), or as a MicroSoft Word 2003 doc file. If we encounter any errors, we will ask for another format. Please send the entire manuscript. Our response time is generally four – eight weeks.
Editors
Erin Wagner is interested in erotic romance in a variety of genres, including contemporary, suspense and paranormal. She's looking for dynamic modern heroines, strong heroes and compelling storylines. Contact Erin at erinwagner@audiolark.com
Jennifer Traveler is interested in erotic rommances in the following categories: contemporary, steam punk, futuristic, historical and suspense. She wants heroines who know their own minds, leading men that set her pulse racing, and terrific story lines that could stand up on their own merit even if all the sex was taken out. AudioLark pays 50% of gross revenue for ebook sales made on our site and 50% of net revenue for all third party sales. We pay 15% of gross revenue for audio book sales made on our site and 20% of net revenue for all third party audio book sales.
